Equipment monitoring, repairs, and quotes

Filter pressure, flow, and pump runtime watched in real time. Pumps, filters, heaters, and controllers repaired before a failure becomes a closed pool.

Most equipment failures announce themselves first

A pump rarely dies without warning. It runs longer to make the same flow, draws more current, gets louder. A filter does not clog overnight; its pressure climbs a little more each week than it did the week before. A heater that is about to fail cycles more often than it used to.

Those signals are in the data if someone is looking at it. The PoolCop controller at every account reads filter pressure, flow, pump runtime, and water temperature continuously. PoolSense Intelligence learns each pool's own baseline, such as what the filter pressure settles to after a backwash, and raises the pool on the attention board when a reading leaves its normal range. The technician who shows up already knows what to look at.

Repairs, quoted and approved before work starts

When something does need work, the board gets a written quote: what we found, what we recommend, the parts, and the price. Quotes can be approved online from the email. Work is photographed when it is finished and logged against the pool's equipment record, so the next technician knows what was replaced and when.

We repair pumps and motors, sand, cartridge, and DE filters, gas and heat-pump heaters, salt chlorine generators, chemical feed pumps, automation controllers, and valves. For plaster, tile, and deck work we bring in specialists we have worked with, and we manage the job.

Capital planning instead of emergency replacement

Every piece of equipment at every pool is in a registry with its make, model, size, and install date where known. Combined with the run-time and pressure history, that lets us tell a board in October which pump is likely to need replacement before next June, so it can be budgeted rather than discovered.

Questions boards and managers ask us

How do you know a pump has failed before anyone calls?
The controller reads filter pressure and flow continuously. A pump that stops shows up as a loss of circulation within minutes, and PoolSense Intelligence moves the pool to the top of the attention board and notifies us. We usually know before the property does.
What equipment do you repair?
Pumps and motors, filters (sand, cartridge, and DE), heaters, salt cells, chemical feed pumps, automation controllers, valves, and lighting. Plaster, tile, and deck work are referred to specialists we have worked with.
Do you charge for a diagnostic visit?
Not for a pool under contract. The diagnosis is part of the service; the repair is quoted. For a property not under contract, the assessment visit is free and a diagnostic is quoted up front.
How do we approve a repair?
You get a written quote with the finding, the fix, the parts, and the price. It can be approved online, from the email, without a meeting. Work starts after approval and is documented with photos when it is done.
What is equipment foresight?
Tracking the numbers that predict a failure. Filter pressure creeping up between backwashes, a pump running longer to hit the same flow, a heater cycling more often. Those trends show up months before the failure does, and we replace on the trend rather than after the closure.
What about the backwash schedule?
The filter is backwashed when its pressure rises about ten psi above its own clean baseline, which PSI learns for each pool. Backwashing on a calendar wastes water and chemicals when the filter is clean and lets pressure climb when it is not.
Do you handle warranty work?
Yes, for equipment we installed. For equipment installed by someone else, we can usually diagnose and coordinate with the manufacturer, and we will tell you when a warranty claim is worth pursuing.
