Commercial pool service in Smyrna, Georgia

Pools in Smyrna

Smyrna has changed more in the last ten years than almost any city in Cobb. The area around Truist Park and the Battery, Market Village, and the corridor toward Vinings has filled with mid-rise apartment and townhome communities, and nearly all of them have a pool. Many are on an amenity deck two or three floors up, with the equipment in a room below and the plumbing running through the structure.

Deck pools are small in volume, often 15,000 gallons or less, and they are crowded on summer weekends. Chemistry in a small, busy pool moves in hours. The controller holds pH and ORP to setpoint continuously and feeds as the load changes; the technician's SpinTouch test on each visit verifies the probes and resets the projection. A deck pool without automation is a pool that is out of range every Saturday afternoon.

Older Smyrna

Away from the Battery, the older neighborhoods off Concord Road, Atlanta Road, and near the Silver Comet trailhead have subdivision and condominium pools from the 1970s and 1980s. Those pools have the opposite problem: plenty of volume, aging equipment, and plumbing that may leak underground. Real-time monitoring catches a creeping filter pressure or an autofill that runs more than the weather explains.

Inspections in Cobb County

Smyrna pools are inspected by Cobb & Douglas Public Health under Chapter 511-3-5 and the Cobb County Board of Health rules, at least once a season for seasonal pools and twice a year for year-round pools. Apartment pools with leasing offices draw complaint inspections, and a deck pool with a rooftop equipment room draws questions about ventilation and chemical storage. We keep the records and the chemical room in order.
